We are Ashlee & Alison.

We became best friends after working together in the wedding industry. We quickly realised that we work really well together, building on each other’s ideas, our passion for making people feel comfortable in front of a lens and producing epic images. We love styling shoots and elopements so much that we spend most car rides and vacation times and sleepovers dreaming up wild new ideas, saying ‘this might be insane…but’… and then we have underwater shoots, we head to rollerskating rinks and arcades and make things we have never seen before! If you have a crazy idea for a photoshoot, you want to have a lasting gallery of your honeymoon or your trip, for your business…let’s chat!

I moved to America in 2017, but you’ll probably hear a bit of an Aussie accent still. I’m traditionally a wedding planner as A Bride’s Best Mate, but I LOVE using my planning skills and design eye for photoshoots, and now I actually do more weddings each year as a photographer, with AWA and Ashlee Crowden Photography!

As a photographer I am always looking to make each shoot unique, to see things from a different perspective and to really add the pops of ‘whoa’ into the galleries. And of course I’m always keeping an eye on the timeline and making sure everything is running smoothly! I can’t help it!

I’ve been a photographer for almost a decade! Some would describe me as spunky creative that LOVES to travel the world, find the hidden gem foodie places, hazy beer or the best thrift store find. I love to laugh and will probably make a bad joke to make you laugh too.

To describe my style...I like to say it's rich, moody, romantic, and playful! Really my goal is to capture the moments between poses. I don't love super stiff photo's!. I’ve worked incredibly hard over the last ten years with mentoring, podcasts, serious Instagram & Pinterest stalking to see what the latest trends are, but most of all - how to connect with my clients. I’ve found through the years that the more comfortable I can make my couples, the better the photos. It’s taken years to build up the ‘posing’ banks in my head, learning how to manage time lines, different vendors and personalities and strict timelines, all while still delivering amazing galleries.
